A Nidhi Company is a type of Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) regulated by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It is formed to cultivate the habit of thrift and savings among its members, accepting deposits and providing loans only to members.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 7 Shareholders at formation
  • Must have 200 members within 1 year
  • Minimum Net Owned Funds: ₹10 Lakhs
  • Cannot deal with outsiders
